Overview

Ironstone type 1 is a crushed carboniferous ironstone rock which is ideal for creating a hardcore base when laying patios, driveways and artificial grass, as well as many other domestic applications. This 50mm to dust hardcore will compact down well and is therefore the ideal product to use to create a solid foundation to start off your project. 

It should be noted that while this aggregate meets the needs of type 1 grading, it cannot be used for highway applications as it is not classed as an MOT aggregate. It is however perfect for driveways, pathways and any other sub-base needs in the home garden.
