Delivery Information
How will my goods be delivered?
Goods can be delivered either loose tipped off the back of the truck or in bulk bags. Please note that unlike other companies, all our bags are delivered in a crane lorry for on-patch deliveries and our price includes lifting onto your property, not kerb delivery. Anything above 20 tonnes will be delivered on an artic lorry or multiple rigid lorries. We can also offer pallet courier services for areas further afield.
The delivery company will make contact. If the customer isn’t in, they agree to leave it on site. If not the customer will be charged for the wasted trip and re-delivery.
All vehicles are accredited to FORS Silver standard and all drivers are experienced CPCS card holders.
What access information should I be aware of?
Our crane lorries reach approximately 6.5 metres, so please note that they may not be able to operate if there are overhead obstructions such as low-hanging tree branches or cables – ask our team for more details.
Since our lorries are full-size HGVs, they may not be able to access particularly narrow lanes, or under low bridges. A good rule of thumb is that if a fire engine is able to fit down your road, then our lorries should fit the majority of the time.
Drivers are unable to enter private residences, so the customer is responsible for any additional lifting once the initial delivery has been made.

How much do your trucks weigh?
Our lorries range in weight from 18 to 44 tonnes, so if there are weight restrictions, red routes or any other restrictions for large lorries, then please also let us know.
Where do you deliver to?
We deliver across Kent, Bromley and Sevenoaks for our bulk bags. If you’re not sure if we deliver to your area, simply give us a call to clarify.
How long does delivery take?
We ensure a prompt delivery time of 3 working days from order placed to goods received. If you are seeking next day delivery, there may be an additional charge that will be influenced by your postcode area – just chat to our team for more details.
Can you deliver onto my driveway?
To enable greater capacity, our specialist vehicles are very heavy, reaching a total weight of up to 32 tonnes. Therefore, we do not take our vehicles onto driveways, as doing so could result in damage – if you insist on it, then we will come on to your driveway, although we cannot be liable for any damage this may cause.
Instead, the vehicles will be parked on public highways or roads, and we’ll use our crane system to place the bulk bags onto your property. If it’s loose material you’ve ordered, our vehicles will also not come onto your driveway due to their weight.
Can you deliver it to my back garden?
As mentioned in the previous question, the weight of our vehicles can reach up to 32 tonnes. This weight has the potential to damage your garden, not to mention accessibility to a back garden will also be very challenging. We generally park on a public highway or road and tip the material onto your property, or crane-lift the bulk bags over.
Do you deliver on weekends?
As well as delivering during the working week, Chargrace Soils Ltd also delivers between 7am and 1pm on Saturdays.
Can I nominate a delivery date?
Delivery arrangements will vary depending on the type and quantity of material you are purchasing, along with where in the county you are located. To get a better sense of your delivery date, we suggest you chat to our friendly team to work out a day that is suitable for everyone.
Do I have to be home for the delivery?
No, it isn’t necessary to be home when we deliver. Simply discuss arrangements with our expert team.
What are your delivery options?
Most materials are delivered to your door in bulk bags. We also offer loose delivery for those in Zone 1 and Zone 2. Loose delivery is carried out by our specialist fleet of tipper vehicles.
In the case of bulk bags, the weight of the product purchased will depend on how large these bulk bags will be.
Can I track my delivery?
Unfortunately it is not possible to track a delivery.
Order Information
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes. All you need to do is call our office to make any changes or cancellations.
What is the refund policy?
Our loose load deliveries are non-refundable. Our bulk bag deliveries are refundable subject to inspection.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept both BACS and card payments for our products.
Do you accept orders over the phone?
Yes, we accept orders over the phone. For your total convenience, you can either choose to order your materials using our online purchasing system, or you can pick up the phone and give us a call on 0808 175 1022.
Can I order if I’m outside of Zone 1 and Zone 2?
We do deliver to customers outside of Zone 1 and Zone 2. To discuss this, please give us a call. Please note we will only be able to deliver the material in bulk bags to these areas, as we only have the capacity for loose delivery for those within Zone 1 or Zone 2.
